Sensory garden for a Hammersmith School
This project involved the creation of a Sensory Garden for a School in Hammersmith, London. The project makes use of varying levels, a mixture of materials and various different textures to stimulate the pupils. Glass blocks have been used in brick work for educational purposes. These allow pupils to study the root structure of the plants in the soil behind. Various herbs such as Camomile have been planted in the walk ways to stimulate the pupils sense of smell when they are walked over. The Coloured bark and fabric sails were placed to stimulate the visual effect of the garden as well as being a talking point for alternative uses.
