Meditation Gardens
Gardens for meditation require to be well balanced, harmonious and peaceful. The energies within these gardens need to be more subtle and distractions from every day life, such as a water feature will aid in the clearing of the mind prior to meditation.
A Meditation Garden
This is a garden primarily for tranquil reflection. Its key elements are:
- Still or softly moving water
- A peaceful seating area
- Gently moving, textural plants ( bamboos, grasses)
- Soothing colours and scent
This garden can also contain beautiful framed vistas, archways or moon gates, and winding pathways to aid the meditation process.
Pebbles and crystals can also aid in clearing the mind for meditation.
Sometimes the planting or the construction of the walkways can be symbolic, involving patterns significant to the client or to the spirit of the place itself.
